Studio Policies:

Tuition: Tuition remains the same each month regardless of number of lessons. All students will be set to autopay unless the studio is notified in writing

Illness: If you are ill but would still like to have a lesson, please request a zoom lesson for the day. Students who come to the studio sick will be sent home.

Cancellations: All scheduling MUST be done through the student portal. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will receive a make up credit. All cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are not subject to a make up credit. Cancellations made by the instructor will receive a make up credit.

Make Ups: Make ups MUST be scheduled through the student portal. Make ups expire 3 months after the date issued. Make ups credits can only be used in addition to the regular weekly lessons reserved by paying tuition.

Discontinuing: Two weeks notice is required to discontinue lessons.

1. TUITION

  1. $130 per month AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED TO DEBIT/CREDIT CARD ON FILE ON

    THE 1st OF EACH MONTH.

    1. INCLUDED IN MONTHLY TUITION:

      1. Reserved weekly lesson time guaranteed, whether the lesson is attended or not

      2. All method books required for instruction

      3. All accompanist/performance fees for recitals

      4. All debit/credit card processing fess

      5. All equipment/instrument rental up to 3 months

    2. A la carte lessons: $37 per half hour lesson (does NOT include materials, equipment

      rentals, or accompanist fees); Weekly lesson time NOT guaranteed

  2. Invoices are sent via e-mail and the student portal as a PDF file. The debit/credit card on

    file will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month unless the Studio is explicitly

    told in writing that you want to opt out of AutoPay.

  3. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE REGARDLESS OF

    AUTOPAY PREFERENCE.   4. ACCEPTABLE PAYMENTS IF STUDENT OPTS OUT OF AUTO-PAY: Checks written out to Lyrics and Melodies; PayPal, credit/debit card payments online and in person at the studio; Cash. Payments can be mailed to the studio at the address above.

    1. If payment is not made by the 7th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added for every week the invoice remains unpaid. If the invoice is not paid by the 21st of the month, the credit card on file will be automatically charged, regardless of auto-pay preference. If the credit card charge does not go through, lessons will be halted and makeup credits will be deactivated until the balance due, including all late fees, is paid in full.

    2. Bounced Check Policy: The student will incur a $40 Bounced Check Fee and lessons will be immediately discontinued until the balance is paid in full

2. ATTENDANCEANDMAKEUPCREDITS
a. Lessons are 30 minutes once a week at Lyrics and Melodies Studio, 950 Los Osos Valley

Rd. Ste. B, Los Osos, CA 93402 or Online via digital platform.
b. CANCELLATIONS: Students must cancel attendance via the student portal at least 24

hours in advance to be eligible for makeup credits. Cancellations made via email, text,

or phone call will NOT be eligible for makeup credits.
c. Makeup credits expire 3 months after date of issue or upon termination of this contract.

Makeups credits can only be used in addition to the regular weekly lessons reserved by paying monthly tuition.

  1. Makeup credits are non-transferable from student to student or teacher to teacher.

  2. The Studio reserves the right to cancel/reschedule lessons at any time.

d. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Lacey and Danielle McNamara (owners), all employees, and the owners/property managers of 950 Los Osos Valley Rd. shall not be held responsible for any property damages or injury, regardless of fault, to the Student or accompanying guests that occur in the building or on the property, including the driveway, parking lot, street, and sidewalks surrounding the property.

    a. Students must have all materials required by instructor.

    b. Students are required to have access to a functioning instrument.

  2. TERMINATION

    a. Student must provide at least 2 weeks’ notice to discontinue lessons for ANY reason.
    b. All remaining dues must be paid by the Student’s last lesson. Refunds or makeup credits

    will NOT be provided for any unattended lessons after a Student’s notice of cancellation.

  3. MEDIARELEASE:Photosofstudentsandguestsmaybetakenduringlessons,classes,and

    performances. These photos are the property of Lyrics and Melodies and may be used for print

    advertising, postings on the website, blog, and social media.
